Phosphene is a visual sign which is generated by the brain and projected to the retina. You can see the for example when you close your eyes and rub your eyelid. we know from Roddha Kelloggs research that kids under the age of 3can also see phosphates. The signal system inspired Lazlo”s first collection of 2016. The print was made by mingled techniques such as screen printing and monothyping. The latter is an extremely simple but demanding process. We paint the prints with textile paints into a glass, the put the textile on it and make a print with it. After heat setting we get unique prints with are unrepeatable and you cannot wash them out of the textile.
Another common phosphene is seeing stars.
The Lazlo brand comes from the surname of the founder, Edina László, and was launched at the beginning of 2012. Originally she began her career as a textile print designer, later she became more interested in fashion, so she started to design the clothes as well. She still creates the patterns for her pieces, so pattern- and fashion design have become her two main lines. She is regularly attending design fairs both in Austria and Hungary, and she is becoming more and more popular also in Austria.
Her brand is characterized by high quality, uniqueness, femininity and ecological thinking. It is for women who love originality, but in the same time consider environmental- and social awareness equally important
